LIVE INTERVIEW ON TAKSHAL

According to sources, Amrik Singh Ajnala, who was appointed as the jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, objected to ‘mild’ reaction of other jathedars on the issue. Ajnala wanted all other jathedars to take strict stance against Dhadrianwale, who was scheduled to deliver three-day discourse in Amritsar, beginning November 14th, said sources on Sunday.

“There are no differences amongst jathedars. I have not been able to talk to Ajnala so far. Please don’t flare up the situation,” said Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal, the jathedar of Takht Damdama Sahib also appointed at the 2015 gathering.

According to information, Daduwal and the acting jathedar of Akal Takht Dhian Singh Mand had a considerate view on Dhadrianwale’s programme, while Ajnala had opposed it tooth and nail.

United Akali Dal general secretary Ranjit Singh Jajeani, who held a meeting with Ajnala on Sunday, refused to give any information about the alleged differences between the informal jathedars. “I don’t want to comment on anything about Jathedars”, he said.
