AMRITSAR : Sikh clerics have asked Sangat to submit controversial and objectionable CD’s of Sikh preacher Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale with Akal Takht secretariat.

The decision was taken during a meeting of Sikh high priests held at Akal Takht secretariat on Monday to discuss over various religious controversial issues.

Later talking to media persons Jathedar of Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh said that Sikh high priests had directed Sikh Sangat as well as Dhadrianwale himself to submit CD’s of his objectionable uttering’s with Akal Takht secretariat which would be investigated by a sub committee and if evidence of objectionable uttering’s against Sikh religion and Sikh Guru’s were found then suitable religious action would be taken against him.

Notably following pressure of Damdami Taksal and other Sikh bodies, Dhadrianwale had cancelled his scheduled three day Gurmat Parchar Samagam beginning from November 14 at Amritsar. 


In another decision, the high priests directed Sikhs to celebrate the thanks giving function for the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh and his 351st birth anniversary on December 25th. At the same time Sikh high priests directed Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to make suitable arrangements for observing martyrdom days of Sahibzada’s at Fatehgarh Sahib.


Taking cognizance of various stunts included while display of Sikh martial art Gatka, the Sikh high priests said Gatka was a traditional Khalsa sport which motivates Sikh youth to practice the traditional sport . “For some time various stunts have been included in the sport which had led to serious accidents including deaths, so we have directed Gatka organizations to not allow stunts which could cause damage” he said.


Other decisions of Sikh high priests included giving Shiromani Sewa Rattan and Shiromani Ragi awards to Baba Balbir Singh 96 Crori Budha Dal and Jaswant Singh former Hazuri Ragi , Golden Temple.


The high priests have also directed Sikh preachers to not say anything controversial from religious staged which could cause confusion in Panth. He said Akal Takht had on April 4, 2017 passed resolution asking SGPC to constitute a committee of Sikh historians and correct the Sikh history in accordance with Gurbani.
